The Journey of Eldoria

Introduction Welcome to the development journey of Eldoria, a unique kingdom-building adventure where strategy meets brainpower! Join me as I share the challenges, triumphs, and exciting features of this project.

Game Concept In Eldoria, players expand their kingdoms to earn wealth and knowledge. By acquiring territories and investing in books, they enrich a mystical brain that ultimately leads to a final riddle, unlocking the coveted castle.

Development Milestones

  1. Initial Design: Started with brainstorming the core mechanics and story. Created a flowchart to visualize player progression from kingdom expansion to the final riddle.
  2. Art and Aesthetics: Designed a vibrant and enchanting world, including various kingdoms, book items, and the brain character. Focused on a cohesive art style to immerse players.
  3. Gameplay Mechanics:
    • Kingdom Expansion: Players earn money through strategic decisions, choosing how to grow their territory.
    • Resource Management: Implemented a system to buy books and manage resources effectively.
    • Riddle Challenge: Developed an engaging riddle mechanic that tests players’ wits before claiming their castle.
  4. Feedback and Iteration: Conducted playtesting sessions to gather feedback on gameplay balance and user experience, leading to significant adjustments and improvements.

Current Status The game is now in its final stages, polished with intuitive controls, engaging visuals, and a captivating soundtrack. I’ve also integrated player suggestions to enhance gameplay flow and enjoyment.
